Our Great and Glorious Leader
Stylised mutant/zombie portrait, completed for my uni negotiated project. Sketch completed in biro, digital painting in Photoshop. Dual layer (background and foreground), limited palette and focus on muddy colours. This character is the ruler/leader of a far flung, dystopian, post-nuclear war city, where particularly grotesque forms of mutation are prized, and humanity is the scourge. The irony lies in their subconscious emulation of human culture despite their disgust and hatred towards human kind. The aim is to eventually mimic Western European oil paintings pre 1800s.
